- How do I schedule a tour?
Please go to the “Schedule A Tour” button at the top right corner of the page, call or email. Tours take place weekdays and evenings, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
- What does the venue rental fee include?
The venue rental includes one security guard, Facilities Liaison on-site for the entire event, additional setup + strike hours for production, in-house furniture, and all pre-event and post-event cleaning.
- Can we place a hold on our event date?
Yes, we can place a non-committal, one week hold on your event date.
- How do we secure our event date at Chez?
Once you’re ready to secure your event date at Chez, we will send a digital contract and digital invoice. On completion of the contract and receipt of payment, Chez will be officially secured for your event.
- Are we required to work with one of the Chez exclusive catering partners?
Yes. Chez has selected the best catering companies in the city. Each catering partner has significant experience producing events at Chez, which ensures the best level of service and cuisine on your event day. The Chez catering partners can work with all price points and styles of cuisine. The Chez team will help you to narrow down the list of caterers based on your requirements and your event vision. - I see there are 60 hotels within a half mile radius of Chez. Are there any that you recommend for our guests?
Your guests will receive preferred pricing or perks at our hotel recommendations, or they can choose from any of the 60+ hotels nearby. You can find a comprehensive list here.
- We will not be in Chicago before the event. Is there any way to see the space with a remote tour?
Yes, remote tours via Facetime and Skype are easily arranged and our team would be happy to share the space with you.
- Does Chez have a private suite?
Yes, the Chez private suite is located on the mezzanine level complete with powder room, large full-length mirror and long counter
- Can we come back to see the space before our event?
Yes, if you would like to visit, especially with event vendors, please feel free to schedule an appointment. We will also schedule a final walk through 2 weeks before your event date. This will give us a chance to go over all of the final details with you, your caterer, and other industry professionals that you are part of your event.
- What are the parking options on our event day?
There are two options for parking. 1: Valet. Five Star Valet is the exclusive valet service for Chez events. If you are considering valet, Five Star Valet will prepare a custom quote for your event day. Valet service is not included in your rental fee. Clients contract directly with Five Star Valet and pay Five Star Valet directly for their valet service. 2: Self-park. Chez has negotiated discounted parking rates at the Erie Ontario indoor garage located at 330 East Ontario St. More parking information is available here
- Is Chez wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Chez is wheelchair accessible. A guest requiring elevator access will be assisted by our facilities liaison as they arrive at our street entrance at 247 East Ontario. There is a wheelchair accessible washroom on the main floor of Chez.
- How many washrooms are there at Chez?
There are washrooms for men and women on the mezzanine level, in addition to a unisex, wheelchair accessible washroom on the main level, and a powder room in the private suite. The women’s washroom has 4 individual toilet rooms and three sinks, the men’s washroom has 2 urinals, 1 toilet room, and 2 sinks. Our washrooms are beautifully finished with contemporary wall covering, glass mosaic tile, Carrara marble counter tops, and LED accent lighting.
- Can we control the temperature of the space on our event day?
Yes, absolutely. Just let our facilities liaison know if you would like to have the temperature adjusted and it will be taken care of immediately.
- What kind of lighting is there at Chez?
here is a system of dimmable LED track lighting on the ceiling at Chez, in addition to LED up-lighting beneath the glass staircase and a contemporary glass chandelier at the entrance.
- Are candles allowed at Chez?
Yes, candles are permitted as long as the flame is contained. Candles are not permitted on the stairs or close to drapery.
- My event requires a lot of setup for a build out of décor. Can I have access to the space early or a day before?
Additional setup hours are available, and we can discuss a rate that matches your needs. If you need an additional day, give us a call and we will work it out.
- Can I send my meeting supplies to Chez early?
Yes, but we have a form to fill out before this can happen. We accept deliveries to our corporate office so give us a call for more details.
- I have big items that need to be brought into the space. How can I make sure it fits?
Two steps ahead of you! Chez has a helpful set of specs that can be sent to any vendors or your team. There is a ramp entrance at the loading dock and freight elevator for easy access.
